Video Surveillance and Cloud Computing
We will explain the new form of video surveillance:
Manage Video as a Service (MVaaS), Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS), Video as a Service (VaaS), Hosted Video as a Service (HVaaS), Remote Video Monitoring and Surveillance (RVMaS) and many more that we can invent, all these new acronyms defined a new fusion between the internet, cloud computing and video surveillance systems.
Cloud Computing – The future of CCTV
The cloud computing is the most promising technology in the internet and its leading proponents are of the caliber of companies Microsoft, Google or Apple. The concept is to reduce the hardware, facilities and offer its services by reducing the high cost shares first.
Video surveillance, renew or expire
Many manufactures have added a web server to your recorder or IP cameras, giving the user great mobility to manage the camera from anywhere with your mobile phone or computer. Cloud Computing is the next step in the forefront of CCTV, permitting management of cameras and recording with a single payment subscription, a great safety assurance, reducing implementation costs in software or hardware. But please, be aware with fake cloud solutions whose ask you to install ActiveX, components or addons, Vidium only needs flash plugin (like Youtube.com) making video surveillance open and requirements free.
Some features of Cloud Computing applied to CCTV:
- Save money by not having to purchase servers, software or OS to support, everything runs from the browser.
- Plug & Play solutions
- Monthly obligation rather than up front capital cost.
- Feature updates are done in the network and are transparent to the users, which eliminates the need for downloadable patches and upgrades.
- Flexibility and scalability.
- Watch video and manage recordings.
- Flexible solution fit with any number of cameras.
- All application functionality is available via the Internet using a web interface without requiring an application installed on a desktop.
- 24/7 with an internet conection.

Desaría contactar con empresas desarrolladoras de software para ofrecer servicios de VSaaS y videohosting. Principalmente el software debería estar en español.
Saludos.
